Sr. Engineer

 

Consumer Acquisition is a social advertising technology firm. We specialize in mobile app advertising for Facebook and Instagram, offering both self-serve tools and fully-managed agency services.  Clients finding success with us include PlayStudios, Product Madness, Ford, TrueCar, ShopKick, MobilityWare, Publishers Clearing House, Bills.com, Brilliant, SunBasket, Smarty Pants, and many more.

We’re looking for a senior engineer to join our team.  We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, solution-oriented, flexible, entrepreneurial and conscious of both the bottom line and creating simple, well-performing software.  This role requires you to translate business requirements into technical specs and execute them with limited direction.  You should also be comfortable switching between user interface and back-end coding.  Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Google, Pinterest and Snapchat advertising APIs are a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Facebook’s APIs and integration into AdRules, our proprietary bid management solution
  • Work with our CTO to develop and enhance our SaaS Facebook bid management platform
  • Translate business requirements into engineering specs and drive them to completion
  • Must be comfortable with an agile startup environment and contributing to product direction
  • Support the campaign management team and AdRules end users in their execution of Facebook campaigns
  • Monitor system performance and respond to issues
  • Build rapport with Facebook technical support representatives
  • Demonstrate and share expertise in media strategy and software development
  • Small degree of on-call commitment required

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of experience with:
    • Python
    • Postgresql and SQL development
    • JavaScript
    • HTML, CSS
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; comfortable with evolving role with limited direction
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technology experience
  • Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Knowledge and understanding of digital advertising or performance marketing
    • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Google, Pinterest and Snapchat advertising APIs are a big plus.
    • Flask/Django, Apache

The Perfect Sr. Manager, User Acquisition Candidate:

  • Manage all aspects of Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns using our proprietary software, AdRules.
  • Oversee execution and optimization of Facebook advertising campaigns to exceed clients’ goals across many verticals.
  • Plan, manage, optimize, and report on paid social media campaigns.
  • Become an expert in Facebook advertising and the AdRules platform.
  • Write ad copy and work with graphic designers to optimize images.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Facebook and Instagram advertising: build ads, analyze data, optimize continuously and manage creative testing.
  • Develop strategies to exceed clients’ performance goals.
  • Create images in Photoshop (or manage external designers) and write ad copy to optimize performance.
  • Analyze your ad spend and use the data to formulate your strategy.
  • Optimize ads for efficiency based on performance data using our AdRules platform.
  • Develop client-facing skills on weekly calls, deliver strategic insights and daily summaries.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytics, quantitative and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • BA / BS / MBA or 2+ years’ experience in high-scale, hands-on performance marketing role with Facebook Ads and User Acquisition.
  • Experience in performance marketing, online advertising, media buying, lead generation or consulting.
  • Strong understanding of ads metrics (CPI, CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, ROAS, ROI, LTV).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Plus: experience working with native social media ad platforms (Facebook Power Editor, Twitter Ads, Google AdWords).
  • Plus: experience with other PMD / FMP bid management platforms.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Highly competitive salary: $80,000 to $150,000
